Chase Stradivarius isn’t quite your typical high-society gentleman. His family is wealthy and renowned for their work, and certain doors have opened for him because of this. Having spent a fair bit of time in the company of high-society patrons, he knows how to hold his own in the cut-throat social games of the upper class. In spite of this, or perhaps because of it, Chase prefers to spend his time among the working class. As such, he has also learned how to take care of himself in situations where his family’s wealth might be the cause of an altercation, rather than the solution.
As a young son of a rich merchant family, Chase spends much of his time bouncing between risky adventures and high-society events, spending the time between ‘slumming’ with the common folks. Because of his family’s background, he has access to a small airship, the Possibilities, which will serve as the party’s primary means of transport over significant distances.
Chase’s uncle, Zanfire “Stormtamer” Arroway, a master navigator, and captain of the Mist Stalker, an airship which set forth into the Mournland two years ago, intent upon finding the cause of the deadly mists.
The Tower of Shards
After the encounter at the Tower of Scars, Chase took Lord Major Bren ir’Gadden, and the nearly catatonic Aric Backtree back to Sharn. Through a combination of luck and the chaos brought on by the Day of Mourning, they managed to avoid being stopped by patrols, and got back to Sharn without much trouble. By the time they arrived, Aric was mostly recovered, but still unable or unwilling to speak of the events which brought him to the tower. Because Aric was obviously shaken by the experience, Bren and Chase didn’t press the issue.
